Do you have a little one who likes to read and color? This new app, ElectricBoy, is a perfect combination of reading and coloring. I love the design of the app, it is meant to provide children the opportunity to color the book the way they see the story. Each page comes with pre-written text at the bottom, but the artwork is just plain black and white sketching – so your little one is able to color in each page as they read the story and then save their artwork. What a neat concept!

There are very simple controls at the top of the screen, one being a paint tool which allows you to pick basically any color along the color spectrum and the other being an eraser. You are also able to control the width of your paintbrush while coloring in the page – for fine detailed coloring or wider strokes. Then, once your little one has colored in the page just the way they want it, you may save the page.

I really like the design of the ElectricBoy app. I think that this app is great for those little ones who want to use their own imaginations and creativity. I know that I will enjoy playing this app with my son and helping him to color in the story together.
