Gadgetarium is the perfect app for kids who are interested in science and inventions! With Gadgetarium, kids can go on a journey to discover some of the world’s greatest gadgets and inventions that have influenced our society as we know it! I really loved the look of this app, the graphics are great and the hand-drawn illustrations add a nice historical feel.
The Gadgetarium app features a colorful encyclopedia of gadgets, everything from the polaroid camera to the radio. Kids can go on a journey through time as they learn about all the gadgets that have molded society, beginning with the wheel and ending with Google Glass. There are 54 hand-drawn fully interactive pages, featuring 23 gadgets in all. On each page, kids can listen to the story of each gadget that was invented, as well as read a longer detailed version of the invention. The app features professional voiceovers and fun original music to accompany the story. There are hidden secret animations and effects to be discovered by touching various objects and characters on each page as well.
Another cool feature that I enjoyed – at the end of the story, kids can try mixing different gadgets to create something entirely unique – and, it will actually work. I love how this app encourages kids to think creatively and dream big. Of course, kids can share there new creation with friends and family via Facebook or Twitter, too.
I really enjoyed the Gadgetarium app, and think it is great for inspiring kids to think creatively. There are lots of new inventions waiting to be discovered, and lots of young minds ready to discover them. I would definitely encourage parents to check out this app and with their children. My son loves learning how things works, and he is only 4 – we will definitely be sharing this app experience together!
