Farmer Blue is off for the village to pick up new gum boots, his old ones have a leak, a sack of flour, glue for his broken china and a surprise for the folks back home. Before he leaves he tells Peko the crow. The whole barnyard is in commotion after that little bird spreads the word and the other folks add their own bit of creativity as they pass the word along. In fact its so distorted at the end that Peko doesn’t even recognize it when it gets back to him.
Thankfully the big surprise is a totally fitting present for the gossipy group back home. The tales you’ll find out there today are hilarious but pay close attention to what you hear so you’re ready for the memory building game that follows. If you can remember what each member of the barnyard crew passed on the gang will get just “chirpy” about it.
Our family loved the narration and voice effects, by actor Rhys Darby and the whimsical animations by Julian Stokoe. This mixed up tale delighted us all and for the $0.99 price tag we think its well worth putting on your shopping lists.
