Introducing Math Crash – an app for practicing your multiplication and division facts while you literally crash into things on your iPhone screen. The premise is simple. Decide whether you want to work on multiplication or division and then choose the number facts you want to practice. Once you’ve done that a scene will appear on screen. It will center around something that can crash into other things. For example, a rocket and alien ships, a soccer shoe and balls or a car and yellow cones. You control the object doing the crashing with your finger and the other items will move around the screen.

When a Math problem is displayed on screen you’ll need to solve it and then use your finger to make your object crash into the item that is marked with the correct answer. Right or wrong once you’ve made a guess then a new problem will appear. A simple game but effective Math practice. I think that a set of quick instructions on how to control the app would be helpful when you begin. It took me a little bit of trial and error to discover that I had to use my finger to control things on screen. Also, at times it was hard to see the numbered answers on screen because they got jumbled and I couldn’t crash into exactly the right thing.

When I was in school dealing with Math there were times I wanted to use my textbook to smash and crash things but that was purely from frustration. This is a much more productive outlet for dealing with those feelings!
