With PurpleSlate Invites, parents can create and send beautifully designed free event invitations by text messages.  The app offers a quick way to track RSVPs as well.  Guests-to-be will receive an invite MMS on their phone, as well as a personalized invitation link via text.  In order to RSVP, guests can simply text back YES or NO, and let you know if they will be able to make it to your event.  They do not need to download the app to reply to you!

Here’s the quick rundown: create an event invitation, add guests straight from your contacts, send invites via text, guests text back reply, you get instant push notification.  Parents can manage their event guest list in real time, as well as send RSVP reminders via text to get that perfect headcount.  Other fun features include: ability to share event messages/pictures/videos, sync events in Calendar, chat privately or in groups about the events coming up.

I thought the PurpleSlate Invites app was a great concept.  I think that this app could be very helpful to parents who are always on the go and need to be able to manage events quickly and efficiently.  I think I’ll check this out for my next event!
