New iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Facts

Congratulations- you’re either the owner of a shiny new iPhone 6 or 6 plus or you’re considering making the upgrade or purchase. Have a few questions about what makes this phone different and whether or not it’s the right device for you? We’ve broken down some common questions and quick facts so that you can make the right choice or get to know your new phone a little better!

A lot of people have been curious about how big the iPhone 6 Plus really is- well, it’s pretty big! It’s bigger than the 6-inch LG G3 and the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 to compare to a couple other phones, and some say that it feels more like a tablet than a large phone, but the preference is up to you. It doesn’t really comfortably fit in a pocket (definitely no chance in a woman’s pocket) but that won’t bother some people. The iPhone 6 on the other hand is only slightly larger than 5s and you can see them lined up below for a comparison.

The sides are rounded, not flat. This is a change from the more recent designs, which some feel make the phone more “slippery” to hold than it’s predecessors. Maybe this was the culprit of the infamous drop of the “first iPhone 6 purchased?” So needless to say, you’ll definitely want to put a case on it right away to make it a little more drop-proof.

The battery and camera are very impressive. People have already been raving about the camera upgrades and features to preserve battery life, so those are great features that users can be excited about.

iPhone 6 Plus apps, however are difficult to find. The apps still run, but are not yet fully supported so the experience suffers a bit. Hopefully the new apps come out with the updates soon!
