In the beginning of the app, kids will select a robot which will guide them through each of the space-themed games. The robots will provide children with both verbal and written support and encouragement throughout the games. There are three different educational games for each letter of the alphabet, including: 1) letter tracing of uppercase and lowercase letters, 2) identifying sounds with pictures, and 3) memory. I like how this app teaches a variety of skills. There are a number of things that kids can learn from using the app, such as: the order of the alphabet, letter names and letter sounds, correct pronunciation and sounds for each letter of the alphabet, as well as letter formation. I like how the app teaches the correct direction and starting points when forming (writing) each letter, and it is very easy for kids to follow. In addition to learning letters, kids will also learn words that start with each letter of the alphabet (this is great for vocabulary building).
I really enjoyed the Reading Jets A to Z app. I like how the app teaches letters and letter sounds while increasing vocabulary, as well as teaching writing skills – and even memory skills. I would definitely recommend this app to parents of preschoolers and elementary age children! I will be playing this app with my 3 year old son for sure!
