I always enjoy a clever app name and Tallywag is a clever app to go along with its name. So what does an app with a name like Tallywag do exactly? Simply put, Tallywag helps you “tally, compare and share anything”. To do this you create a group with up to four counters (things you want to count). You can name your groups and counters for easy reference. Once you’ve done that it’s time to start tallying things up. Keeping your tallies is easy thanks to prominent plus and minus buttons. Tallywag allows you to store up to 50 different groups of things you are counting. You can keep counts going for quite some time with that number! With only the ability to keep tallies I would have thought Tallywag was a handy little app but you’re also given the option to compare the counts in three different graph forms. To do this you simply open up a group and then flip your iPhone on its side. You can even select the date range you wish to view and share your group via Facebook, Twitter or Email.

Tallywag is a simple concept but I found it to be executed beautifully. I can see myself using this app in the future when I need to quickly track data and I can definitely see my children using it for projects and reports.
