Getting separated from your parent in a large, busy area is probably one of the scariest experiences of a child’s life.  Those few minutes while parent and child are frantically searching for each other seem like an eternity.  PupPup, a cute little furry brown stuffed dog with a big imagination, experiences this first-hand when his owner Julia inadvertently loses him in the city zoo.  In this adorable eBook we learn about PupPup’s adventure and the unlikely friends he meets along the way that helps to reunite him with his owner.

One day, as PupPup is browsing through his morning paper he reads the story of a lost baby monkey.  He reminisces about his time with his “girl Julia.”  He recalls times swimming with her in the pool, having sleepovers in the backyard and sledding in the snow.  He also remembers a time in his “Puppy Years” when he fell out of his owner’s bag at the zoo.  At first PupPup is overwhelmed by all of the fantastic animals around him and the fun they could have together.  His desire to swing like a monkey gets the better of him and he climbs out of the safety of Julia’s backpack and swings on the bench.  It isn’t until minutes later when he realizes that he is all alone and becomes quite frightened.  He calls out for his precious Julia but cannot find her.  A friendly tortoise offers him a ride, but he moves too slowly!  A zebra takes over but he is too fast!  Over and over again, the zoo animals try to assist PupPup but to no avail.  Finally the grand Bald Eagle offers to fly over the crowds to try and spot Julia.  Will Bald Eagle find Julia and will PupPup be reunited with his girl?  Well…you will have to read to find out!

I loved the story of PupPup and his adventure in the zoo.  I thought the story line was well thought out and I liked how they incorporated so many different species of animals into the story.  I feel that it is a great way to introduce children to all sorts of animals and how they look.  My 2-year old son especially enjoyed reading the story and pointing to all of the animals as I named them.  Each page also has interactive elements to help keep your children interested and engaged in the story.  Some of those things include moving illustrations and authentic animal sounds.  The book is also professionally narrated making this eBook an all-around wonderful book for your family.  I hope to see more adventures with PupPup  in the near future!
