Do you have little ones who are learning to count?  Or how about little ones that like sing-along songs?  If so, you should definitely check out the new Wee Sing & Learn 123 app.  I thought that this app was very cute and would be a great way to introduce counting to your child.

I want to mention, first of all, that this app was featured by Apple in the “New and Noteworthy Education” section.  I love the variety of activities in this app.  On the main screen, your little one can choose from the following: Sing & Count, Auto Play, Count Animals, 123 Song, Explore 123, Draw 123 and Color Book.  With the Sing & Count mode, children can experience an animated, sing-along storybook.  The Auto Play mode is simply the Sing & Count mode done in a “movie” fashion.  I thought that the Auto Play mode would be perfect for even the youngest children, as they can simply watch the songs unfold without needing to push any buttons or prompts.  The Count Animals section allows children to practice their counting as they drag fish across into outlines, beginning with 1 all the way through 12 (there are both easy and hard difficulty levels).  With the 123 Song, children can watch an animated screen as the theme song from the app is heard, fun for singing along!  The Explore 123 mode features the numbers 1 through 12 on the screen, here children can tap on the numbers in any order and hear them pronounced – great for number recognition!  With Draw 123, children can learn how to write the numbers 1 through 12 by tracing their outlines (following a fish guide, of course).  Lastly, there is a Color Book in which kids can color three different ways: free coloring, coloring in a picture on their own, or coloring “inside the lines” (the “inside the lines” mode ensures that children do not color outside the lines).  As you can see, this app features a lot of different types of activities.

I really enjoyed the Wee Sing & Learn 123 app!  I loved the bright, colorful graphics and cheery music.  I would definitely recommend this app to parents who have children who are learning to count!

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this app for review purposes.
