Word Peril is similar to the game of hangman except instead of building a hangman you lose money. A more humane approach. You begin with $2000 dollars and a category as a clue for the word you’re attempting to solve. Now you must choose the letters that you think are in the word. If you choose correctly you’ll earn $100. If you choose incorrectly you’ll loose $400.  When your $2000 is gone the round is over. If you successfully complete the puzzle you’ll receive another $200 that will carry over in your “bank” for the next puzzle.

Word Peril contains over 6,000 different word puzzles. You’ll have to put your thinking cap on because some of the  ones I tried were a bit tricky and random. One thing that would be nice in a future update is the ability to guess the puzzle before all the letters are filled in. Right now you solve the puzzle by filling in the letters but there were a few times when I knew the answer but had to continue filling in letters one by one. The plus side is I was able to continue to earn money for the easy letters. This is not a word game for kids, the categories and puzzles are definitely for teens or adults.

Price when Reviewed: $.99
